Most GPS systems will tell you to take I-40 Westbound to Exit 447 (Hartford Rd.) to Greenbrier Campground - DO NOT TAKE THIS ROUTE with any type of tow behind camper or RV! This road is very narrow and windy. You will have trouble maneuvering your vehicle on this road. Please follow the directions below for a much safer route from I-40.
Take I-40 West to Exit 440 (Wilton Springs Road/Gatlinburg). Turn left off the exit ramp onto 321 South. In ¼ mile, turn right to continue on 321 South. Continue straight for 2.3 miles to the stop sign and turn left. Continue straight for 6.8 miles, then turn right to continue on 321 South. *Please be sure you do not miss this turn.* Continue straight on 321 South for 12 miles, then turn right onto Highway 416/Pittman Center Road. You will see the Greenbrier Campground sign at this turn on your right. It is a large brown sign with white lettering. After turning on Hwy 416 the Campground entrance is 250 yards up on the left. You will see another sign on your left directing you over the bridge to our registration office. Safe travels!
Again, GPS systems will tell you to take I-40 Eastbound to Exit 407 (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg) to Greenbrier Campground. This route is the safest route for those towing a large camper or RV however the traffic can be very heavy this direction, especially on holiday weekends. We will share this route and another route and you can decide which is best for you. If you would like to see Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and downtown Gatlinburg on your way in, this is the route for you. If not, choose the second option.
Take I-40 East to Exit 407. Turn right onto TN 66 South- Winfield Dunn Pkwy. Stay straight through Sevierville making a slight right turn onto 441 S toward Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Continue straight for approximately 12 miles through Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg. In Gatlinburg, make a left turn onto 321 N at stop light #3. All lights in Gatlinburg are numbered. Follow 321 N out of Gatlinburg for 6 miles to Hwy 416. This will be a left turn and the Greenbrier Campground sign will be at this turn on your left. The campground is located 250 yards up on the left. *DO NOT FOLLOW GPS TO TURN LEFT BEFORE THE CAMPGROUND SIGN. THIS IS HILLS CREEK ROAD AND THE COVERED BRIDGE IS TOO LOW FOR ALMOST ALL CAMPERS!!*
